About Me

Welcome!

Hello, I'm Anne! I am a Certified Integrative Nutritionist through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Certified Nutrition Coach and Certified Personal Trainer through NASM. I  reside just outside of Lancaster, PA with my wonderfully supportive fiancé & our two smart & silly girls.

Cooking & helping others makes me happy. I love creating healthy dishes for my family, friends & anyone who's hungry. I also enjoy converting traditional dishes into ones that are more healthful & clean. Looking for something in particular? Let me know!

Food is Wonderful

We need food to survive, but food is so much more than just a necessity. It brings people together in good times and in bad, it's healing, calming, exciting and initiates creativity!  You'll see simple dishes you can feel good about with ingredients you can easily find. You won't see any nutrition facts listed because I believe filling your diet with whole foods & healthy fats is better than counting calories.  Get cooking!

Step-by-Step Cooking

I like to keep things simple. I use a lot of herbs and spices and keep the methods  and recipes easy.  I love sneaking veggies into dishes which leads to people trying foods they may not normally have. If there are any questions, comments, suggestions or concerns please don't hesitate to ask by sending a message or posting a comment. Together we can learn and grow!

My Staple Ingredients

Chicken, Beef & Vegetable Stock

Check your labels! Monosodiumglutamate (MSG), sugar, corn, and soy are common ingredients. (If on Whole30 ensure honey or anything ending in "-ose" is not an ingredient as well!)

Olive, Coconut & Avocado Oils

Interchangeable in almost every recipe!

Clarified Butter or Ghee

This is butter from which water and milk solids have been removed, so that only the butterfat remains. Easy to make at home, or purchase ghee from a store. 

Sea Salt & Black Pepper, Garlic & Onions (Powdered & Fresh)

All are in just about every dish I prepare.

Basil, Oregano, Paprika, Parsley, Thyme, Rosemary, Cayenne, Chili Powder, Chipotle & Curry Powder

All are easy to find and most can be found in bulk at wholesale grocery stores or online!

Arrowroot

Perfect substitution for cornstarch as a thickening agent! 

Cassava Flour

This is great for "breading" chicken or a base in paleo pizza dough or baked goods.

Others: Coconut Flour, Coconut Sugar, Coconut Aminos, Red Boat Fish Sauce

All things I like to have on hand!
